A list of the 20 greatest engineering achievements of the 20th century compiled by the National Academy of Engineering includes 10 achievements primarily related to the field of electrical engineering: electrification, electronics, radio and television, computers, telephone, the Internet, imaging, household appliances, health technologies, and laser and fiber optics. The remaining achievements in the list - automobile, airplane, water supply and distribution, agricultural mechanization, air conditioning and refrigeration, highways, spacecraft, petroleum/petrochemical technologies, nuclear technologies, and high-performance materials - also require knowledge of electrical engineering to differing degrees. In the 21st century, the discipline of electrical engineering continues to be one of the primary drivers of change and progress in technology and standards of living around the globe. Our long-standing partnership with Engineers Australia informs our teaching, ensuring our degrees are relevant and that students develop the skills that employers want. Through our engineering degrees' professional accreditation,* graduates are able to practice as professional engineers locally and around the world. However, with the increased recognition of Physical Therapist’s skills in diagnosing, treating and preventing illness and injuries has necessitated the profession to re-evaluate its goals for the future and move toward more autonomy in patient care. According to America Physical Therapy association (APTA) “the vision for the future of the Physical Therapy profession is that by year 2020 Physical Therapy, treatment will be provided by Physical Therapists holding Doctor’s degree in Physical therapy, recognized by consumer and other health care professions as practitioners of choice to whom consumer have direct access for the diagnosis of, intervention for, and prevention of impairment, functional limitation and disabilities related to movement, function and health. Since there is general trend of Physical Therapists to seek employment and admission for further studies in United States of America, it has become necessary to bring the courses of study in Pakistan at par. The program will also meet the requirement for Non interventional independent practice in home land. Wateem Physiotherapy education is based on a fully integrated curriculum and includes interdisciplinary studies. Commencing Semester 1, the curriculum is structured around patient centered learning. Conditions for which people typically seek physiotherapy provide the context for integrating learning about biomedical sciences and physiotherapy skills. In the later years of the course, the focus moves from campus based patient scenarios to learning in a clinical environment. This provides opportunities for students to appreciate the relevance of on-going learning in the context of supervised health care delivery. Wateem Physiotherapy education facilitates development of skills through small group learning. Other features of this degree are opportunities to experience rural health care delivery and Inter-Professional Education (IPE). In IPE, students spend some time each semester learning and collaborating with students enrolled in other health science courses including Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Paramedic and Radiography. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) is a challenging and demanding course. Students can expect to spend significant time in self-directed learning that supports the course of study. Students will be expected to be fit to undertake the course by accepting responsibility to maintain their health and take adequate rest. Clinical attachments across all years of the course are compulsory. In the third and fourth years of study, the majority of time is spent in clinical education. Some flexibility may be required of students, both in terms of hours worked at clinics, and scheduling of clinical attachments. Students can expect to have rural attachments during the course Students should take these matters into consideration when considering casual employment. The “Vision 2020” states that “By 2020, physical therapy will be provided by physical therapists who are doctors of physiotherapy recognized by consumers & other health-care professionals as the practitioners of choice to whom consumers have direct access for the diagnosis of, intervention for, & prevention of impairments, functional limitations, & disabilities related to movement, function & health. History of Physiotherapy in Pakistan:- The school of Physiotherapy was established in 1956 by the Federal Government, Ministry of Health & Social Welfare with the assistance of World Health Organization (WHO) at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center premises. Initially, the school offered a 2 years Diploma course with the minimum entrance qualification of matriculation (science group). In 1961, the 2 years program was upgraded to a 3 years Diploma. Later on, the program was raised to BSc Physiotherapy Degree (3 years) in 1963, affiliated with the University of Karachi, and pertinent changes were added & made in the syllabus according to the need. The International faculties of Physiotherapy had upgraded their syllabi. In order to match those standards; in 1999, BSc Physiotherapy course was upgraded to 4 years BS Physiotherapy Degree Course. Recently, following the “Vision 2020 of APTA”, the 4 years BSPT Program was upgraded to 5 years DPT (Doctor of Physiotherapy) Program in 2008 to meet the International standard. At present, 26 Institutions are serving in the field of Physiotherapy in Pakistan. Professional Civil Surveyor Diploma Course In Gujrat Gujranwala . New session of civil surveyor diploma course will be started soon in international college of technical education . Admission are open in international college of technical education 923115193625.hen looking at the historical prospective of surveying, it was just started with the measurement of first plane line. However, today, the basics of land surveying are same but technologies and instruments have changed. Therefore, we use advance tools, methods and techniques to train our students. When looking at the competitive perspective, currently in Pakistan 98% of Government as well as private institutions are teaching an outdated course outline for chain survey and plan table survey which means that their students are less competitive and unemployed in the market. Whereas, studying this course in international college of technical education enables students to experience latest standards and techniques which are being used in Europe and Middle East. Surveying or land surveying is the technique, profession, and science of determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional positions of points and the distances and angles between them. A land surveying professional is called a land surveyor. and surveyors establish boundaries of land, water and airspace to determine property ownership. Therefore, land surveying courses prepare students for professional surveying licensure exams. Classes or programs are often found in engineering, architecture or geography departments. Many land surveying classes are part of geomatics programs at colleges and universities, but there are also 1-year certificate and 2-year associate's degree programs in land surveying. In addition to a high school diploma or GED, land surveying programs may ask for related work experience, a certain GPA and the completion of prerequisite coursework. This first course in a land surveying program includes discussion of land ownership, property rights, laws governing property and definitions of land ownership and other surveying related terms. Students research property ownership through property records. Maps are used to establish property boundaries. Students may be introduced to primary tools for surveying and making maps, such as field equipment, mapping and GIS (geographic information systems) software, GPS (global positioning system) handhelds and computer aided design.Plane surveying introduces students to the skills and technological knowledge required for working in the field. Students learn how to measure, calculate and record direction, distance and elevation using standard field equipment; advanced skills are taught through projects in which students use GPS for data collection and geometric calculations to measure curves. Prerequisites for this technical course are beginning land surveying and trigonometry.
