Shorthand Stenographic Diploma course in Attock, Chakwal International college of technical education All type of courses and diplomas offered by international college of technical education is acceptable in international countries as well as in domestic country. Admission open and started the class, 03115193625. Shorthand is an abbreviated symbolic writing method that increases speed and shortness of writing as compared to a more common method of writing a language. Stenography Course comprises skills in Shorthand, Transcription and Typewriting. Multiple keys are pressed simultaneously (known as "chording" or "stroking") to spell out whole syllables, words, and phrases with a single hand motion. This system makes real-time transcription practical for court reporting and live closed captioning. Shorthand is not dying in any way. There are stenographers in the ministries and companies who discharge their professional duties. Although it is correct that computer has taken over the work of the stenographer, he remains useful to the society. This profession is very important. Medical professionals also create (make) words that mean something. An example of this is "stat", used to indicate (show) that something needs to be hurried (done faster). It is from the Latin "base word" statim, meaning quick. A very commonly (often) used shorthand is shortening things on order forms for patients. The Greek letter Delta, a triangle, is a shorthand symbol for the Defendant. This is the section symbol and is also known as the "double S". ... When you double the section symbol, it's read as "sections." Pilcrow is the name of this symbol which is also known as the paragraph symbol. Ā, lowercase ā, is a grapheme, a Latin A with a macron, used in several orthographies. Ā is used to denote a long A. ... The macron is only considered when sorting words that are otherwise identical. For example, in Māori, tāu (meaning your) comes after tau (meaning year), but before taumata (hill). Whatever stenography system is used, the ultimate goal is to record the spoken word verbatim. Stenography allows court reporters to record proceedings and events much quicker than they would be able to do using a standard keyboard. Sometimes doctors themselves cannot read their own handwriting, though they sheepishly admit it to be their own. The most common reason for illegible handwriting is the large number of patients to be seen, notes to be written and prescriptions given, in a short time. Why is There a Shortage of Stenographers? To start awareness of the profession has steadily declined. A drop in enrollment has actually led to stenography schools closing. The industry's focus is pushing young professionals into the job and supporting them through tough schooling. These pencils are soft. H stands for "hard". HB stands for "hard black", which means "medium hard". F stands for "firm". Steno pads were originally used for stenography, or shorthand. Stenography is a method of taking of very fast notes. These notes, in written form, are called shorthand. ... The page of a steno notebook is divided in half to help the note-taker to move quickly. The vowels in Gregg shorthand are divided into three main groups that very rarely require further notation. The a is a large circle, and can stand for the a in "apple" (æ), "father" (ɑː), and "ache" (eɪ). Today's word processing software allows users to "program" specific shortcuts that quickly complete words. Often referred to as shorthand typing, this particular tool is particularly useful for individuals who write extensively and use similar words or phrases on a regular basis.
