Completion of a IADC RIGPASS program confirms that personnel have met basic requirements defined by safety and training professionals in the drilling industry, irrespective of the rigs location. A IADC RIGPASS card accredited by IADC will be awarded to each student upon completion which resembles that the bearer has completed IADC RIGPASS instruction as defined by the industry’s leading safety and training professionals. Students will complete this program followed by a written and practical test which he or she must pass. IADC offers accreditation for Health, Safety Environmental HSE Orientation Programs that meet the criteria established by the Associations Health, Safety Environment Committee. The key objective of RIG PASS is to provide new employees with a basic orientation of rig operations and safe work practices. Ideally, this should occur before the employee begins work at the rig. However, due to various logistical conditions in the drilling industry, this will not always be possible. Companies with in-house programs are encouraged to establish policies to ensure that their new employees complete the RIG PASS orientation as soon as it is practical. IADC RIG PASS certificate from IADC with onshore and offshore endorsement will be issued for candidates completing this course, which is recognized and proves that personnel have met basic requirements defined by safety and training professionals in the drilling industry, irrespective of the rig's location. These programs also satisfy the Safe Land USA and Safe Gulf requirements. IADC Rig Pass is a standardized safety orientation program for all oil and gas operations, whether onshore or offshore, that is independently audited and accredited. Employers can be confident that an individual who has completed an accredited IADC RIG PASS or IADC RIG PASS program has met basic safety orientation requirements defined by drilling-industry safety and training professionals. The key objective of IADC HSE Rig Pass program is to provide employees with a basic orientation of rig operations and safe work practices. Ideally, this should occur before the employee begins work at the rig. However, due to various logistical conditions in the drilling industry, this will not always be possible. The ultimate goal of this program is to improve the safety performance of the Contractors and the Exploration and Production Operators and to assist both in satisfying federal, state and industry regulations and recommended practice. This course is fully accredited by the IADC. Course duration is 4 days. Training provides rig crews with a baseline of knowledge to demonstrate that all employees are familiar with legislative and industry standards on all aspects of safety.
