A new supercar the Tramontana
The Tramontana is a spanish sports car, with a design inspired by the racing cars of Formula 1 and built by Avanced Design Tramontana in the Costa Brava, Girona, Catalonia. It can be ordered in two sizes, for one or tow people and it costs £400,000 ( €610,000 or $915,000) . It was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005.
The car has a turbo-charged V12 engine of 720 HP (537 kW) and 5.5 liters, rear-wheel drive and 6-speed manual transmission, develops a maximum speed of 300 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The body is made of aluminum and carbon fiber and its total weight is 950 kg. If the two seats is option you choose, the passenger sits behind and slightly higher than the driver.
Only 12 units are scheduled to be built when production reaches its full capacity in 2008, three were scheduled and were already built in 2006.
