This course is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare & complete basic rigging work as prescribed by the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. The Rigger and Signalman Course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge
and skills to prepare and to tie the load for safe lifting by any form of lifting equipment,using correct and clear signals to guide the crane operator in the maneuvering of a load safely to its destination. This is a mandatory course in line with Workplace Safety and Health (Operation of Cranes) Regulations for individuals who are assigned to carry out the lifting operation of load involving a mobile crane or tower crane.
This Basic Rigging and Signal Person Safety Training course gives workers the knowledge needed to rig safely on the job site. Class discussions and demonstrations will give workers the explanation needed to understand what stresses are placed on rigging and the load during hoisting operations.
